The brewery was built in 1758 and is Yorkshires oldest brewery.
All its beer is still delivered in Oak casks.
Still uses the original well from 1758 to gets it water for brewing.
All but two of its ales are fermented in vessels made of slabs of solid slate.
Has used the same yeast strain since the 19th century.
All local deliveries are still done with Shire horse.
